Guowei was invited to participate in the launch ceremony of the national tour as a thank-you unit for the "Set Out for Antarctica" exhibition
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of China's polar expedition. On this occasion, China ushered in the 40th Antarctic expedition. This expedition lasted more than 5 months and was first supported by three ships, the Xuelong, Xuelong 2 and Tianhui, with a total voyage of 81,000 nautical miles. Guowei UGL-3C set out with the Xuelong research vessel to fully assist in polar earthquake scientific research.
The average annual temperature of the Antarctic continent is only -25℃. Our equipment can operate stably in the extremely cold and windy environment, which strongly supports this polar scientific research work, obtains important data and key results for actual application in the extreme environment of Antarctica, and demonstrates the frozen romance between the "heavy weapon of a great power" and the Earth's pole.
National tour, attracting much attention.
The exhibition "Go to Antarctica - Carry Forward the Spirit of the Polar Regions" takes the 40th anniversary of China's Antarctic scientific expedition as the starting point, and focuses on the legendary stories and brilliant achievements of my country's Antarctic scientific expedition workers. Guowei UGL-3C was unveiled at the exhibition. The equipment was mainly used in the geological stratification and extremely low seismology research in the Antarctic region during this expedition, contributing to the polar expedition.
The voyage has an end, but the pursuit is endless. In the context of responding to global climate change, understanding the polar regions is of special and important significance, and scientific exploration, development and utilization of the polar regions have broad prospects. In the future, we will continue to study the core technology of high-resolution geophysical detection, and the country will "smartly" help the Antarctic scientific research cause to flourish.
